As quantum dots have become widely adopted across the display industry, the use of QD-related labels has grown faster than clear definitions or verification methods, creating confusion for brands, buyers, and consumers.

This paper proposes a practical, science-based framework for defining and validating true quantum dot displays. It introduces a phased approach that begins with structural verification of functional QD light conversion and evolves toward performance-based optical criteria grounded in objective measurements. The goal is to establish clarity, transparency, and comparability while remaining compatible with future display architectures.

The full white paper is now available for download below. We invite display manufacturers, brands, industry organizations, and technology partners to review the framework and join the broader discussion on strengthening trust and innovation in the quantum dot display ecosystem.
