There are just a few weeks left until Display Week 2025 kicks off here in Silicon Valley. This year’s event will be held from May 11 to 16 at the San Jose Convention Center and should feature a ton of great Quantum Dot programming! There’s so much going on that we thought it would be helpful to pull together a list of some of our favorite events.

Meanwhile, here are our favorite Quantum Dot talks and events at Display Week 2025:

Monday, 5/12

  • 2:40 pm Monday Seminar: QD experts Pete Palomaki and Dr. Seth Coe-Sullivan will explore the past, present and future of Quantum Dots for displays in a 90 minute lecture.

Tuesday, 5/13

  • Tuesday features three hours of talks on emissive Quantum Dot displays (QDEL or EL-QLED) starting at 11:10 am with Session 5: EL-QLED 1. This session features talks from TCL, BOE and Hong Kong University on progress and challenges for QDEL technology in displays including breakthroughs in lifetime and cadmium free quantum dots

  • The QDEL story continues in Session 12: EL-QLED II at 2:00pm. This session will feature a talk from Sharp on Ultra-High Resolution QDEL micro displays patented with UV photolithography including impressive results with >3,500 ppi resolution and 120% DCI-P3 color gamut using red, green and blue quantum dots

  • Finally, Session 19: EL-QLED III, a distinguished session, closes the day at 3:40pm with two talks from Samsung Display and an additional one from TCL. The talks in this session focus on ink jet printed QDEL devices with advances in cadmium free blue lifetime and high resolution printing from two of the world’s largest display makers.
